August Heinrich Berger

Friedrich August Heinrich Berger (born September 4, 1866 in Elsterwerda ; † 1932 ) was a German doctor and writer .

Life

Born in Elsterwerda in what is now southern Brandenburg, Berger worked as a district doctor in Krefeld before the First World War . Before that he worked as a doctor in Ziegelhausen , Neustadt am Rübenberge , Hanover and Remscheid . He undertook several long trips, which provided him with material for his later literary work. In 1897 he traveled to Russia , Turkey and the "sunny countries". In 1904 a trip to the United States followed .
