August Heinrich Rumann

August Heinrich Staats Rumann (* 1788 in Hanover ; † December 14, 1873 ibid) was a German administrative officer and politician in the Kingdom of Hanover .

Life

August Heinrich Rumann was born as the son of the director of the law firm in Hanover, Ernst August Rumann . From 1806 he studied law at the Georg-August-Universität Göttingen and became a member of the Corps Hannovera Göttingen . He was a participant in the wars of liberation . He then entered the Hanoverian civil service in the Kingdom of Hanover. Rumann was chamber secretary in Hanover in 1818 and government councilor in Landdrostei Lüneburg in 1824 . He moved to the Hanover Domain Chamber , where he was Chamber Councilor (1839) and Chamber Director (1856) in 1856 until retirement in 1862. After his retirement he was a member of the Hanover State Council until 1866 .

The Hanover city director Wilhelm Rumann was a brother.
