August Hoppenbrock

August Hoppenbrock (born October 14, 1905 in Melle ; † May 14, 1976 there ) was a German politician (NSDAP / CDU).

Life

After attending the agricultural and secondary school in Herford , Hoppenbrock worked on the local farm in the Gerden (Melle) community (later incorporated into the city of Melle ). He had been a member of the NSDAP since December 1, 1931 ( membership number 919,587). He was chairman of the district youth association in Melle and a board member of the Hanoverian youth association. Until January 21, 1935 he was the local group leader of the NSDAP in his home community. He served as a soldier from 1939 and was later taken prisoner by the English. After the war, Hoppenbrock became involved as chairman of the Melle Agricultural Association and chief agricultural judge in Oldenburg .

August Hoppenbrock was from 1955 to 1967 a member of the Lower Saxony state parliament for the CDU in the constituency of 82 Melle.

His son Ernst-August Hoppenbrock is also a politician.
