August Peus
August Peus (born February 10, 1855 in Recklinghausen , † November 8, 1939 in Münster ) was a Prussian district administrator .
Live and act
The Catholic Peus, a son of the Judicial Council Hugo Peus, visited in Recklinghausen high school, studied law in Bonn and Heidelberg and in 1879 court clerk in Münster and Cöslin . Later he was a government assessor in Aachen . In 1885 he was acting district administrator and from 1886 to 1915 district administrator of the Hümmling district . He initiated the paving of the roads in the district and the construction of the Hümmlinger Kreisbahn . He had to retire early for health reasons.
