August Freiherr von Brewer, called von Fürth (born July 22, 1812 in Aachen , † August 1, 1846 in Munich ) was a German legal historian .

August von Fürth was the son of the Aachen appellate judge Bernhard Chrysart von Fürth (1782–1849), a grandson of the Aachen mayor Franz von Fürth , who had been raised to the imperial baron status in 1773 when Baron von Brewer, called von Fürth, was named . His uncle was the district administrator Joseph von Fürth and his brother the lawyer Hermann Ariovist von Fürth .

August von Fürth studied from 1829 at the University of Heidelberg and received his doctorate on the Quaestiones Lucilianae . He later went to Munich, where he died at the age of 34.

One of his most important works is a treatise on the statutes of the Ministerials . After his death, he bequeathed his private library to the Aachen City Library .
