Augustin Steinhäuser

Augustin Steinhäuser (born August 27, 1781 in Schwäbisch Gmünd ; † November 17, 1849 in Stuttgart ) was a German administrative officer and member of the assembly of the Württemberg estates .

Steinhäuser studied law and finance at the universities of Würzburg and Göttingen from 1800 to 1804 . In 1807 he passed his administrative service examination and in 1808 became mayor of Rottweil . In 1815 he was elected to the Württemberg state estates . But he left after a short time from these, he for urban and clerk was appointed for Rottweil. In 1819 he was appointed senior bailiff in the Rottweil district , before he became senior bailiff in the Ehingen district in 1835 . His granddaughter Emilie von Soden grew up in his Ehingen household .

He had been a member of the Corps Rhenania Freiburg since 1816 .

Steinhäuser spent his retirement in Stuttgart from 1847, where he died in November 1849.
