Augustus Henry Mounsey

Sir Augustus Henry Mounsey KCMG (* 1834 - April 10, 1882 in Bogotá ) was a British diplomat .

Life

Mounsey's father was the fourth son of George G. Mounsey from Castletown in Cumberland (now part of Penrith ). He attended rugby school since 1849 . Augustus Henry Mounsey was posted to Yedo (Tokyo) on February 10, 1876, and to Athens on July 22, 1878. From 1881 until his death he served as British Prime Minister and Consul General in Colombia.
