The awards for the National Reconstruction Work was an award from the National Reconstruction Work (NAW) of the German Democratic Republic (GDR), which was awarded in the first different forms in 1951 to all those people who were involved in the reconstruction of Berlin and other destroyed cities in the GDR . The NAW badges awarded for this were available at both district and district level. These ranged from the simplest pins to medals with ribbons. In addition to Berlin, badges of the cities of Suhl , Magdeburg , Cottbus , Dresden , Gera , Rostock and Halle have become known . It was not until 1959 that the NAW created a uniform award. In 1960 it showed a reduced copy of the activist badge of the seven-year plan with the inscription: NAW . The badge was awarded in

  • Gold: for 500 hours of development
  • Silver: for 300 build-up hours and
  • Bronze: for 125 hours of development.
