The car slewing crane IV / 1.6 (ADK IV / 1.6) is a fully hydraulic crane manufactured in the period from 1960 to 1961 in the VEB Hebezeugwerk Sebnitz for in-house handling of loads up to 1.6 tons.

history

A first functional model was built in 1958 at the Leipzig Institute for Conveyor Technology. In the same year, prototyping and further development were handed over to VEB Hebezeugwerk Sebnitz . The front axle with double tires came from series production (rear axle of the Robur Garant 32 ), while the steerable rear axle was a self-made swing axle with a large steering angle. The 17 HP two-cylinder GD 2 diesel engine from Robur-Werke was supported by the rigid vehicle frame and was located behind the rear axle. The driver was seated to the left of the engine compartment.

In the front part there was the turntable with plain bearings. The ADK IV / 1.6 had an articulated boom with a centrally arranged luffing cylinder. The boom could be manually extended by one meter with an excavated part. The crane, which was mobile under load, worked without support.

Problems with the hoist should be resolved by equipping the ADK III / 3 (Puma) with the tried and tested factor pulley system. Due to the high manufacturing costs, only 30 IV / 1.6 slewing cranes were produced by the end of production in 1961.
