The tractor Crane Brigade friend is in the GDR produced mobile crane . The vehicle was developed by the science department (WB) of ABUS (work equipment for mining and heavy industry) in the central design office (ZKB) and produced in the time from 1952 to 1955 in the VEB lifting tool factory in Sebnitz . Only 25 vehicles of this type were produced, but the Brigadefreund is an important predecessor of the Panther car slewing crane .

The Brigadefreund tractor slewing crane was developed as a diesel-electric tractor crane especially for use on factory premises and at trade fairs. The fully elastic tires also made it possible to cover longer distances, but the driving speed was only 11.5 kilometers per hour. The water-cooled 2-cylinder four-stroke diesel engine 16V2 "Aktivist" had a displacement of 3325 cm³ and was produced by the Brandenburg Tractor Works. Among other things, it was also used in the RS03 "Aktivist" tractor manufactured by the Nordhausen tractor factory . The engine output was 22.1 kilowatts at 1500 revolutions per minute. The vehicle was equipped with a 3 + 1-speed manual transmission.

The motor was permanently connected to a three-phase constant voltage generator. The energy generated operated the motors on the hoist, pull-in and slewing gear. The load capacity was 3 tons, but could be increased to 5 tons with ballast with a maximum radius of 2.5 meters. The largest possible radius was 6 meters with a load capacity of 1.8 tons. The service weight was 15,300 kg. The rope mechanical crane operation could reach a maximum lifting speed of 4.3 meters per minute, had a turning range of 360 degrees and a maximum turning speed of 2 revolutions per minute. The maximum lifting height was 5.29 meters.

In the transport position, the brigade friend had a length of 4900 mm, a width of about 2500 and a height of 2550 mm.
