RS03 with a seed drill

The RS03 (brand name "Aktivist" ) is a standard tractor in block design. Between 1949 and 1952 it was produced in the Brandenburg tractor factory a total of 3761 times.

technology

The tractor has a frameless block design with a rigid rear axle and an unsprung front swing axle. The driving force is only transmitted to the rear wheels. The activist's wheelbase is 1650 mm, which means that the weight distribution is very unfavorable and the tractor tends to rear up. In the course of production, the front axle construction and the bonnet shape were changed, the wheelbase increased to 1700 mm. The working according to the Diesel principle, two-cylinder engine provides 22 kW at 1500 min ^-1 . The engine is started with a crank handle and decompression device. A single-disc dry clutch for power transmission is installed between the engine and the transmission. A construction from Prometheus is used as the transmission. It has four gears, with which speeds between 3.94 and 17.80 km / h forwards and 5.30 km / h backwards are achieved. The brake system consists of the service brake , which acts as a shoe brake on the rear wheels, and a hand brake, which acts as a band brake on the transmission.
