The RS04 (also known as RS04 / 30 and RS30 ) is a tractor in block construction. After several pre-series vehicles had already been built in Schönebeck in 1950, 7574 copies were built in the VEB Schlepperwerk Nordhausen from 1953 to 1956 as a replacement for the activist and the Brocken witch . In contrast to the other tractors, it was not given a brand name. The RS04 was later replaced by the RS14 / 30 .

technology

The tractor is made in a frameless block construction with a rear portal axle and a front swing axle with leaf spring. As the water-cooled engine is twin-cylinder prechamber four-stroke diesel engine EM 2-15 used the minimum of around 3 liters of displacement at 1500 ^-1 draws a power of 22 kW. The engine is started with an electric starter and decompression device. In contrast to the RS03, the tractor has swing arm hydraulics for attachments. The power is then transmitted from the engine via a single-disk dry clutch of the Pf 20 type. It is steered with horse steering .
