The RS02 (brand name: Brockenhexe ) is a tractor in block construction. It was produced from 1949 to 1952 in the state-owned company (VEB) Schlepperwerk Nordhausen parallel as a smaller model to the RS01 in a number of 1935 units with and without a driver's cab.
technology
The Brockenhexe is designed as a frameless block construction with a front unsprung pendulum axle and a rear rigid axle. Only the rear wheels are driven. Since the GDR tractor production did not initially have its own diesel engines, a license from Deutz was installed. The series two-cylinder four-stroke diesel engine with water cooling and indirect injection type F2M 414 derives a power output of 16.2 kW at 1500 min -1 cm from a displacement of the 2200th The engine is started using a decompression device and hand crank. The power is transmitted to the gearbox via a Renak 16K single-disc dry clutch . The transmission was built under license from ZF Friedrichshafen and has four forward and one reverse gears. The brake is an internal shoe brake that only acts on the rear wheels. The handbrake is a band brake that acts on the transmission. The tractor does not have a three-point power lift , instead it has a belt pulley drive and a clutch- dependent road PTO . Some of the tractors were equipped with a driver's cab, and there was also a cutter bar as an option .
