The Avène is a river in France that runs in the Gard department in the Occitanie region . It rises in the municipality of Laval-Pradel , first drains in a southeastern direction, then turns from southwest to south and flows after 30 kilometers at the municipal boundary of Saint-Hilaire-de-Brethmas and Vézénobres as a left tributary into the Gardon d'Alès .
