Avant Browser is a web browser that is based on the HTML rendering engine Trident from Internet Explorer , Gecko from Firefox or WebKit from Chrome , according to the individual wishes of the user . The graphical user interface has Opera (in terms of usability up to version 12) as a model. The Avant Browser originally wanted to combine the advantages of Internet Explorer and Opera, which is why Avant was initially called IEOpera . The first version was released on January 30, 2004. From October 2011, Gecko and Webkit were added as an additional freely selectable engine.
