The Avenue Paul Doumer is a street in the 16th arrondissement of Paris , in the quarter Muette .
location
The 970 meter long and up to 30 meter wide street begins at Place du Trocadéro et du 11 Novembre and ends at Rue de Passy no. 82 and Chaussée de la Muette no. 2. At its end, it goes through in a south-westerly direction the avenue Mozart "extended".

Name origin
After the murder of the former French President Paul Doumer (1857–1932) in early May 1932, the street was given its current name on July 19, 1932.
history
The street began in 1904 in the section between Rue de la Pompe and Chaussée de la Muette. It was originally called Avenue de la Muette .
Attractions
The majority of the uniform buildings date from after the Second World War , mostly from 1960.
- No. 1: Luxurious building by architects Jean Fidler and B. Lochak, built between 1935 and 1937. The office of designer and architect Philippe Starck is located in the streamlined building .
- No. 19: This is the house on the street most closely connected to the film industry. Several actors and other greats from the film industry lived here, such as Mireille Darc and Robert Hossein .
- The house was also the location of the French feature film Four in the Red Circle (OT: Le cercle rouge ), which premiered in 1970 . In the film, the gangster Corey (played by Alain Delon ) had an apartment in this house.
- No. 71 Brigitte Bardot lived here in the 1960s .
