Aviastar Mandiri flight 7503 ( MV7503 for short ) was a scheduled domestic flight of the Indonesian airline Aviastar Mandiri from Masamba to Makassar , which crashed on October 2, 2015 during the flight on Mount Latimojong . There were eight passengers and two crew members on board the machine, none of whom survived the accident. The plane wreck was only found on October 5, 2015. procedure

All times in UTC

The plane took off from Masamba at 6:25 a.m. It was to choose an altitude of 8,000 feet for the flight and fly directly to Makassar. At 6:36 a.m., the aircraft reached an altitude of 8,000 feet. At a distance of about 110 kilometers, there was partial cloud formation around the mountains Mount Bajaja and Mount Latimojong. The two pilots discussed aborting the flight and landing in Barru, a town around 80 kilometers from the actual destination Makassar airport. They came to an agreement and changed course in the direction of Barru. A few seconds later, the pilot wanted to continue climbing with the plane. But now they noticed that the plane was already touching the treetops. A few seconds later, it crashed on the summit of Mount Latimojong and went up in flames. Nobody survived this disaster.
