Aviva Joel (born October 28, 1949 in Tel Aviv ) is an Israeli actress .

Life

The daughter of an opera singer grew up in Tel Aviv and graduated from school there. Then she attended two and a half years, the drama school Zurich and developed at the Actors Studio by Lee Strasberg in New York on.

She was already on stage as a child and began her artistic career in 1971 at the City Theater of Lucerne . In 1972 she went to the Baden-Baden Theater , in 1973 to the Atelier-Theater Bern, and in 1983 she joined Peter Brook .

Aviva Joel played Olivia in What you want and Luise in Kabale und Liebe . She has appeared in several films and television plays, repeatedly with Jewish-Israeli and Swiss backgrounds. The actress worked as a nursing assistant in the Riesbach hospital , where she gave poetry readings and lectures on the subject of Jewish and Yiddish culture. She is the mother of three children.
