AxeWound is a British - Canadian metalcore - Super Group , which as a side project of the 2012 Bullet for My Valentine was founded -Sängers Matthew Tuck. In addition to Tuck, the band consists of Liam Cormier from Cancer Bats , Mike Kingswood from Glamor of the Kill , Joe Copcutt from Rise to Remain and Jason Bowld from Pitchshifter .

history

The band was officially featured on BBC Radio 1 on May 1, 2012. The single "Post Apocalyptic Party" presented there was offered for download free of charge. On the same day it was announced that the band would be co-headlining the Pepsi Max stage at Download Festival 2012. Further tour dates for Europe were then published, including appearances at the Rock am Ring and Rock im Park music festivals.

On October 1, their debut album Vultures was released on Search and Destroy Records, a subsidiary of Sony Music .

In August 2013, the band announced that they had started work on their second studio album.
