Axel Breinlinger

Axel Breinlinger (born March 1951 in Stuttgart ) is a German lawyer and former judge at the Federal Labor Court .

Live and act

After studying law and the subsequent legal clerkship, Breinlinger initially worked as a research assistant at an employment law chair at the TU Darmstadt . After a brief employment as a lawyer, he joined the judges' service in the State of Hesse in April 1981 . After being used in the ordinary jurisdiction , Breinlinger moved to the Offenbach Labor Court in November 1982 . This was followed by secondments as a research assistant to the Federal Labor Court and as a judge to the Hessian State Labor Court . In 1995 he moved to the labor courts of the state of Mecklenburg-Western Pomerania , where he became the presiding judge at the state labor court there.

In 2001 Breinlinger was appointed judge at the Federal Labor Court and initially assigned to the Third Senate. In 2008 he was assigned to the Eighth Senate, where he was significantly involved in the further development of the highest labor court case law on the General Equal Treatment Act, the law of transfer of operations and the law on damages. On October 31, 2015, he retired from civil service due to age. Breinlinger has been admitted to the bar since 2016 and works for a Frankfurt law firm.
