Axel Bronstert
Axel Bronstert (* 1959 in Ludwigshafen am Rhein ) is a German hydrologist and professor of geoecology (focus on hydrology / climatology ) at the University of Potsdam .
Bronstert passed his A-levels at the Leininger-Gymnasium in Grünstadt in 1978 and studied civil engineering / water engineering in Karlsruhe and from 1986 to 1987 at the University of Kyoto , Japan . He received his doctorate in hydrology and water management from the University of Karlsruhe in 1993 . From 1995 to 1999 he worked at the Potsdam Institute for Climate Impact Research , after which he was appointed Professor of Hydrology and Climatology at the University of Potsdam . There he is responsible for the subjects hydrology and climatology at the Institute for Environmental Sciences and Geography.
