Axel Burkart

Axel Burkart (born December 21, 1951 in Saalfeld / Saale ) is a German author, anthroposophist and esotericist .

Career

By his own account, Burkart was an illegitimate child and was adopted by his father. In 1953 Burkart fled with his parents from the GDR to Bavaria . He grew up in Giesing and Munich , studied mathematics and computer science at the Technical University of Munich and graduated as a mathematician and computer scientist. In 1974 he came into contact with Transcendental Meditation , which had a major impact on his life. He became a student of Maharishi Mahesh Yogi and later taught as a meditation teacher. In 1977 he first came into contact with the teachings of Rudolf Steiner and became an anthroposophist. From 1980 to 1989 he worked for the Giesecke & Devrient company , whose boss, Siegfried Otto , was his uncle. Burkart holds lectures on anthroposophy and Rudolf Steiner in seminars, some of which can be seen on his YouTube channel.

Burkart lives in Munich and has a daughter.
