Axel Corall

Axel Corall (born April 9, 1896 in Sweden , † October 1975 in the United States ) was a Swedish football player . He played four caps for the Swedish national team between 1919 and 1921 .

Career

Corall played irregularly from at least 1919 to 1921 for the Stockholm club Hammarby IF and the Norrköping- based IK Sleipner . The latter reached in the national championship in the form of a national cup, held before the introduction of the Allsvenskan as a national league in 1920, the final against Djurgårdens IF in the Stockholm Olympic Stadium , which was lost without Corall's involvement.

In 1919 Corall was first considered by the selection committee of Svenska Fotbollförbundet as a selection player in the Swedish national team . In August of that year he made his debut for his colors in a 4-1 win over the Netherlands and came to two more international appearances in the further course of the year. In 1921 it was used a fourth time.

In 1921 Corall emigrated to the United States , where he played for Hartford Scandia AC for several years .

Nothing is currently known about Corall's further life - especially away from the football field.
