Axel Haller

Axel Haller (born January 24, 1961 in Augsburg ) is a German economist .

Life

After graduating in 1985 with a degree in economics from the University of Augsburg and receiving his doctorate in 1989 as Dr. rer. pole. From 1994 to 1996 he was a postdoctoral fellow from the German Research Foundation . After completing his habilitation in 1996 as a Dr. rer. pole. habil. and his appointment as a private lecturer in 1997 , he represented a professorship for general business administration at the University of Cologne in 1997/1998 . In 1998/1999 he represented the professorship of the Treuhandseminar at the University of Cologne (chair Günter Sieben ). From 1999 to 2004 he held the chair for corporate accounting and auditing at the University of Linz . Since 2004 he has held the chair for Financial Accounting and Auditing at the University of Regensburg .

His research topics are the internationalization of accounting from a conceptual and normative point of view, accounting for non-capital market-oriented companies, expanded corporate reporting (sustainability reporting, integrated reporting) and auditing.
