Axel Raphael

Axel Ferdinand Raphael (born October 4, 1850 in Gothenburg , † November 30, 1921 in Stockholm ) was a Swedish economist , social politician and writer .

life and work

Axel Raphael received his doctorate with the historical work Bidrag till historien om Gustaf III's planer på Poland 1788–1791 (Uppsala 1874), then worked in Stockholm as a writer on economics in a markedly liberal-free trade sense and focused on expanding artistic and literary property rights (cf. his brochure Om rätt till tidnings titel , 1894), but especially for Sweden's accession to the Bern Literary Convention (August 1, 1904).

Among Raphael's numerous essays, The Swedish Workers Protection Act and The Swedish Social Policy of 1894 ( Archives for Social Legislation , 1889 and 1895) are highlighted. He also wrote:
