He loves me, he doesn't love me - Toujours l'amour (original title: Tu veux ou tu veux pas ) is a French comedy film from 2014. Tonie Marshall was both a director and co-responsible for the script and production . The main characters in the film are Sophie Marceau and Patrick Bruel .
action
When Judith lost her job because of sexual relationships with several of her clients, she returned to Paris after three years and temporarily moved in with her uncle Michel. Looking for a new job, Judith meets Lambert, an ex-pilot who runs a couples therapy practice together with his colleague Sabine. Since Sabine has to leave the practice for some time because of a family emergency, Lambert should look for a student who should temporarily support him in his work as a couples therapist. Despite his dubious qualifications, Lambert hires the attractive Judith, who happened to be an assistant, as an assistant. Judith takes part in the therapy discussions with Lambert's clients and focuses her attention primarily on the sexual aspects of the respective couple relationships.
Although Lambert is attracted to the seductive and sexually aggressive Judith from the start, he shuts himself off from a sexual relationship because he is in the eleventh month of his abstinence as a former sex addict. After a few days, Judith and Lambert kissed after a visit to the local restaurant. Lambert prefers to keep the relationship on a professional level. Despite sexual tension, Judith and Lambert continue to work together and get to know each other better. When Judith wants to go out with Lambert's friend Bruno, Lambert feels jealous.
Lambert and Judith go to a therapist congress where, among other things, they give a joint lecture that leads to an argument between the two. Lambert admits that he knew Judith had no therapeutic training and only hired her because of her appearance and sexual attraction. Judith leaves Congress while Lambert spends the evening in a club, getting drunk and relapsing into his sex addiction.
Judith realizes that she has meanwhile fallen in love with Lambert and surprises him in his apartment, where he is with his friend Daphné. There is another argument between Judith and Lambert.
Judith searches for Lambert and sneaks into his sex addict support group. Both Judith and Lambert speak honestly about their feelings in front of the assembled group. This is the first time that Judith learns of Lambert's abstinence from sex. Now that they are clear about how they feel about each other, they leave the group meeting and end up in bed together.

Tonie Marshall originally developed the basic idea that forms the basis of the film for a 26-minute TV series. The series concept was discarded and instead transferred to a film version.
The French original title of the film can be found in one of the film songs, Tu Veux Ou Tu Veux Pas , sung by Valérie Belinga .
The preview of the film took place on August 22, 2014 at the opening of the 7th Festival du Film Francophone d'Angoulême . The trailer for the film was also presented in France in August 2014, and the theatrical release followed on October 1, 2014.
Concorde Home Entertainment released the film on DVD and Blu-ray on the German-speaking market on April 9, 2015.

criticism
The reviews of the film are mediocre in the French-speaking, German-speaking and English-speaking countries. In most cases, the charming appearance of Sophie Marceau is mentioned as a bright spot in this comedy film.
“The frivolous comedy shines, of course, above all because of the convincing and emphatically outrageous portrayal of Judith by Sophie Marceau, who, after excursions into the serious subject and also her own directorial work, returns to her actual profession. The well-built and always flirtatiously dressed actress doesn’t notice that there are a good thirty years in between, while Patrick Bruel cuts a much worse figure. "
