Axel Sundermann (born January 23, 1968 in Lemgo ) is a former German soccer player and Bundesliga professional.
Sundermann started in his youth at VfL Lieme and TBV Lemgo . In the 1988/89 season he made his debut at Hannover 96 , in his first season he came to seven games. Sundermann moved to SC Freiburg for the 1994/95 season , where the defender played in the first division until 1997.
In the 1997/98 season, Axel Sundermann went to VfL Bochum , for whom he played in both the Bundesliga and the 2nd Bundesliga .
In 2002/2003 Sundermann moved to SC Verl in the regional league and played 21 third division games. After this season he ended his career.
Axel Sundermann played a total of 139 games in the Bundesliga .
