Aydın Çetin (born May 21, 1980 in Brackenheim ) is a German-Turkish soccer player.
Career
Çetin began with the club football in the youth of VfR Heilbronn . After moving from VfR Heilbronn to Karlsruher SC in 1997 , he initially played for two years in the U-19 team. In the 1999/00 season he made his debut for KSC in the 2nd Bundesliga . After the relegation of Baden in the Regionalliga Süd , he became a regular player and contributed to the direct resurgence. He played a total of 91 second division games (six goals) and 32 regional league games (six goals) for Karlsruher SC.
In 2004 he moved to Turkey to the then first division club Sakaryaspor and played here for the next two and a half years. In the season 2005/06 he succeeded with his team the relegation victory of the TFF 1st Lig and thus the indirect promotion to the Süper Lig . After about a year at Altay, he left the club and went to the city and league rivals Karşıyaka SK .
After just one season, he left Karşıyaka and moved to the northern Turkish club Giresunspor . He separated from this club after one and a half seasons and moved to the second division Karabükspor in spring 2010 . With this team he won the championship of the TFF 1st Lig and thus the direct promotion to the Süper Lig .
Since Karabükspor informed him at the end of the season that they were no longer planning with him and suggested a change, he returned to Giresunspor . Here he played for the next one and a half seasons and left the club after the club got into financial difficulties and could no longer raise the players' salaries.
During the winter break of the 2011/12 season, his move to the second division Boluspor was announced. He subsequently played for Alanyaspor and Yeni Malatyaspor . With this club he reached on the 34th matchday, the last matchday of the season, the championship and thus promotion to the TFF 1st Lig . Çetin contributed significantly to this success with his 16 goals in 3 league games.
In the summer of 2016, he moved to third division club Kocaeli Birlikspor .
