Aymonins Ragwurz ( Ophrys aymoninii ) is a plant type from the genus of Ragwurzen ( Ophrys ) in the family of orchid (Orchidaceae).
description
This perennial herbaceous growing Knollengeophyt differs only in a different shape and color of the flower of the fly orchid ( Ophrys insectifera ) and so is Basionym Ophrys insectifera ssp. aymoninii Breistr. Considered a valid name by many scientific authors. The lip here is dark brown in color without any red components. The edge of the middle lobe appears yellow. The anthers are also colored yellow, while the mark, which ends in two short tips, appears blue-gray.
The flowering period extends from May to June.
Location and distribution
This species is found in sparse pine or mixed pine and beech forests with moderately dry and calcareous soils at an altitude of 700 to 900 m . This species is endemic to the south of France .
relationship
At first it was thought, due to the yellow bordered lip, that this species is a hybrid descendant of the fly ragwort ( Ophrys insectifera ) and the yellow ragwort ( Ophrys lutea ). However, this thesis has been largely refuted.
