The Aztec Mountain is a 2,000 m high, pyramid-shaped mountain in the East Antarctic Victoria Land . It rises immediately southwest of Maya Mountain and west of Beacon Valley .
The team of the New Zealand Geological Survey Antarctic Expedition (1958-1959) named it because its shape is reminiscent of the cultic pyramids of the Aztecs .
