Bärbel Freudenberg Pilster

Bärbel Freudenberg-Pilster (born February 6, 1954 in Delmenhorst ) is a German lawyer and former politician of the FDP .

education and profession

After training as a legal clerk and working for several years as a legal clerk at the judicial authorities in Oldenburg , Bärbel Freudenberg-Pilster began studying law at the Georg-August University in Göttingen , which she completed in 1984 with the first state examination in law. Following her legal traineeship in the higher regional court district of Celle and the second state examination in law in 1987, she was a lawyer in Celle and Hude (Oldenburg) . In 1991 she moved to Saxony-Anhalt and began a career as a judge . She was mainly entrusted with criminal and youth departments, but at times also worked as a family and bankruptcy judge.

For some time she was seconded to the Ministry of Justice in Magdeburg . There she was responsible for the organization of the courts and public prosecutor's offices as a consultant and head of unit. The central dunning court of Saxony-Anhalt was set up in Staßfurt under her leadership .

Bärbel Freudenberg-Pilster has been a lawyer in Berlin since 2007, specializing in family law and criminal law .

Public offices

From May 2002 to April 2006 Bärbel Freudenberg-Pilster was State Secretary for the FDP in the Ministry of Health and Social Affairs of Saxony-Anhalt .

Volunteering

Bärbel Freudenberg-Pilster was deputy chairwoman of the FDP-affiliated Erhard Hübener Foundation and is a member of the American German Business Club Berlin, for which she also works as legal counsel . She is also a member of the German Lawyers' Association . She left the FDP in 2018.
