Båkeneset (Norwegian for beacon ) is a headland on the Princess Martha coast of the East Antarctic Queen Maud Land . It is characterized by Nunatak Båken at the northern end and represents the northwestern extension of the Ahlmannryggen . It is also the western boundary of the Krylvika Bay .
Norwegian cartographers mapped it on the basis of aerial photographs and measurements of the Norwegian-British-Swedish Antarctic Expedition (1949–1952) and gave it its descriptive name.
