Massimo Rossi

Massimo Joe Rossi (born October 28, 1992 in Legnago ; † October 2, 2016 in Traben-Trarbach ) was an Italian motorboat athlete with a German racing license.

life and career

Rossi came from San Bellino and was double world champion in the O-250 and O-350 classes in the summer of 2016.

On October 2, 2016, Rossi lost control in Traben-Trarbach in the motorboat race on the Moselle , after the first run in the lead, and collided with stones lying on the bank. He was thrown out of the boat and suffered serious head injuries from the collision with a tree, to which the 23-year-old died at the scene of the accident.
