Christoph Friedrich Berend von Borcke

Christoph Friedrich Berend von Borcke , also von Borck , (born January 11, 1689 , † July 22, 1770 in Wangerin ) was a Prussian district administrator . From around 1722 until his death, he was in charge of the Borckescher Kreis in Western Pomerania .

He came from the noble Pomeranian family Borcke . His father Döring Joachim von Borcke (* 1661; † 1704) was the heir to Wangerin and other estates. His mother Barbara Margaretha was born by von der Goltz .

From 1710 he studied at the University of Halle . Then he took over the management of his property. From his father he had inherited Wangerin (a), Polchow (b), a share in Henkenhagen (a), Groß Borckenhagen (a) and Klein Borckenhagen . In 1723 he succeeded in redeeming further Borckesche fiefdoms for himself that had come to an owner outside the family, namely Glietzig (c), Labes (d) with Nieveken , another share in Henkenhagen (a), Mühlendorf (c), Neuenkirchen (b), Piepenhagen (a) and Prützenow (a).

Around 1722 he became district administrator of Borckeschen Kreis , one of the so-called family districts in Western Pomerania. He held this office until his death. He was followed in office by Wilhelm Friedrich Leopold von Borcke .

In 1720 he married Sophie Margarethe, also a born von Borcke. After his death his son, the government assessor Friedrich Wilhelm von Borcke (* 1724, † 1804) inherited his property.
