Wilhelm Friedrich Leopold von Borcke , also von Borck , (* July 21, 1737 in Stargard in Pomerania ; † June 28, 1787 in Kankelfitz ) was a Prussian district administrator who headed the Borckescher Kreis in Western Pomerania from 1770 until his death .

He came from the noble Pomeranian family Borcke . His father Andreas Matthias von Borcke (1688–1740) was a Prussian major and heir to Kankelfitz and Lessenthin . His mother Hedwig Juliane was born on the Moselle and widowed by Wedel . She died the year he was born, his father three years later.

Borcke attended school in Kloster Berge from 1750 . From 1754 he studied at the University of Frankfurt (Oder) , from 1755 at the University of Halle . When the Seven Years' War broke out , he joined the Prussian army in 1756 , where he served in the Bayreuth Dragoons Regiment . After the peace agreement, he took his leave in 1764 to take over the management of the goods he had inherited from his father. His guardians had sold Kankelfitz and Lessenthin in 1744 "for repurchase for 18 years" to Major General Johann Ernst von Alemann ; Borcke redeemed the goods from his heirs in 1766.

Around 1770 he was elected as the successor to the late Christoph Friedrich Berend von Borcke to the district administrator of the Borckescher Kreis . The Borckesche Kreis was one of the so-called family circles in Western Pomerania . He also had his seat as district administrator in Kankelfitz. He held the office of district administrator until his death. Carl Wilhelm von Borcke succeeded him in office .

In 1764 he married Friederike Gottliebe Tugendreich von Winterfeld . His son Ernst August Philipp von Borcke (1766–1850) became the next but one district administrator in the Borckescher Kreis and after the district reform of 1818 the first district administrator in the newly formed Regenwalde district . The daughter Friederike Wilhelmine Sophie (1770–1796) married Friedrich Wilhelm von Wurmb (1744–1827) and became the mother of Major General Ludwig von Wurmb .
