Ernst August Philipp von Borcke

Ernst August Philipp von Borcke , also von Borck , (born August 20, 1766 in Kankelfitz ; † November 20, 1850 there ) was a Prussian district administrator . From 1797 to 1817 he was the last district administrator of the Borckescher Kreis and then from 1818 to 1831 the first district administrator of the newly formed Regenwalde district in Western Pomerania .

Life

origin

He came from the noble Pomeranian family Borcke . His father Wilhelm Friedrich Leopold von Borcke (1737–1787) was the heir to Kankelfitz and Lessenthin and, until his death, district administrator of the Borckescher Kreis. His mother Friederike Gottliebe Tugendreich was born from Winterfeld .

Career

Borcke was formed by a tutor and has already appeared in 1780 in the Prussian army , where he where in Szczecin stationed Infantry Regiment No. 7 served. In 1792 he took his leave to take over the management of the estates inherited from his father .

As early as 1792 he became a district deputy in the Borckescher Kreis. After the death of District Administrator Carl Wilhelm von Borcke , he was elected as the new District Administrator of the Borcke District in 1797. The Borckesche Kreis was one of the so-called family circles in Western Pomerania. When the Borckesche Kreis was dissolved as part of a district reform on January 1, 1818, Borcke remained the first district administrator of the newly formed Regenwalde district from 1818 to 1831.

family

In 1792 he married the daughter of a Szczecin merchant and councilor named Sanne. In his second marriage he married Auguste Henriette, née von Kleist .
