Erich Hüttenhein

Erich Hüttenhein (* 1889 ; † May 2, 1945 in Zingst ) was a German administrative lawyer.

Life

Hüttenhein studied law at the Friedrichs University in Halle . In 1908 he was reciprocated in the Corps Borussia Halle . As a trainee lawyer at the Court of Appeal , he was promoted to Dr. iur. et rer. pole. PhD. After the assessor examination he entered the internal administration of Prussia. He was Councilor at the Prefect of the Province of Pomerania . In April 1931 he was appointed provisional and later finally a district administrator in the Regenwalde district. Six days before the unconditional surrender of the Wehrmacht , he ended his life at the age of 56. As Joseph Goebbels the day before, “[he] shot his wife and himself on May 2, 1945, after having held out to the last in his post as district administrator in Pomerania. A man around him writes: We bow down in awe of this greatness ”.
