Béla Kállói (born June 16, 1913 in Budapest , † August 1970 in Mexico ) was a Hungarian football player who, after his active career, worked as a football coach in Mexico.

career

Kállói began his football career with Hungária MTK FC . In 1933 he moved to Le Havre AC , his only foreign station as a player. After two years in France , Kállói returned to his homeland and played first for Zugló FC and then also briefly for Erzsébet-Soroksár FC , who withdrew from the league after only twelve games in the 1936/37 season. Now Kállói returned to his former club Hungária, for which he played until 1939. From there he moved to Csepeli Weisz Manfréd FC , where he - with a brief break at MÁVAG Budapest - was under contract until the end of his active career. In the seasons 1941/42 and 1942/43 Kállói won the Hungarian football championship twice in a row with Csepel .

Little is known about the further development of Kállói, except that he led the Mexican club CD Tampico to win the second division championship and promotion to the top division in the 1958/59 season and then coached the first division club Deportivo Toluca .
