Béla Zulawszky (born October 23, 1869 in Tőketerebes , Austria-Hungary ; † October 24, 1914 in Sarajevo , Bosnia and Herzegovina ) was a Hungarian fencer .

Life

At the Olympic Games in London in 1908 , Béla Zulawszky won the silver medal in the individual competition with the saber behind Jenő Fuchs . With the sword he was eliminated in the preliminary round. Four years later he also took part in the 1912 Olympic Games in Stockholm , where he did not get past the semifinals with the saber and the foil.

Zulawszky completed his university studies in 1897 and then worked as a gym teacher at a military academy in Kőszeg . In 1912 he joined the Hungarian army as an officer and later became a major . At the beginning of the First World War , in October 1914, he fell in Sarajevo .
