Bérengère de Lagatinerie (aka Bérengère Marrier de Lagatinerie Lacoste ; born April 25, 1968 in Paris ; † April 23, 1991 ibid) was a French actress .

Life

Bérengère was known for her role as "Caroline" in the French comedy Trocadero , in which she played in 1978 on the side of Anny Duperey and Lionel Melet . It remained her only film.

Bérengère came from a family of actors well connected in the film and art world. She is the descendant of the French acting legends Réjane and Paul Porel . Her father was Marc Porel (aka Marc Michel Marrier de Lagatinerie Porel), known for roles in films by (among others) Costa-Gavras , Henri Verneuil and Luchino Visconti , her mother the actress Bénédicte Lacoste . The Argentine-French actor Gérard Landry (aka Landry Marrier de Lagatinerie) was her grandfather.

Bérengère de Lagatinerie died two days before her 23rd birthday as a result of an accident: While trying to help a friend with a car breakdown, she sustained a serious head injury. The unconscious Bérengère was hospitalized, after two days her condition worsened and she died of a cerebral infarction .

She was buried in the family grave on the Cimetière de Passy . At her side rests next to her ancestor Réjane and her father, who died in 1983. Her grave is within sight of the place where her only film is set - the Place du Trocadéro .
