Böttelborn is a district of the Tannroda district of the city of Bad Berka in the Weimarer Land district , Thuringia .

geography

Böttelborn is 1 km south of Tannroda at 333 m above sea level. It is located on the steadily rising local road to Kottendorf in the hilly terrain of a plateau sloping to the north. The soils of the district also originated from the weathering of shell limestone and are remote from the groundwater.

history

The first documentary mention of the hamlet is given in 1362. In the late medieval desert period, the hamlet was a desert. Later it was run as a sheep farm and belonged to the manor in Tannroda. During the GDR era, the agricultural production cooperative (LPG) Tannroda had its headquarters in the village.

In 1855 three people lived in the hamlet, four in 1910 and ten in 1973.

The agricultural company Tannroda eG is based in Böttelborn. Ten people now live in the village.
