The Bündner Heimatschutz is a cultural and political association in the canton of Graubünden and a section of the Swiss Heimatschutz .

aims

The Bündner Heimatschutz is committed to maintaining the architectural heritage, preserving the townscape and protecting the landscape . It is religiously and politically neutral.

history

The most extensive project of the Bündner Heimatschutz, active since 1905, was the repair of around 30 buildings in the Lower Engadine village of Guarda between 1939 and 1945 by Iachen Ulrich Könz . It took place in the spirit of homeland security architecture .

Current projects

Currently (as of 2012) there are projects (partly still at the stage of feasibility studies) for the Engiihuus and Türalihuus in Valendas , the Old Torkel in Jenins , the Hotel Löwe Post in Mulegns , the Valtschiel Bridge in Donat , the Plaz Cadruvi in Sumvitg and the renovation the Splügenpass gallery .
