Břetislav (German: Setzlaw or Setzlav ) is a village and part of the municipality Konstantinovy Lázně ( Konstantinsbad ) in Okres Tachov , Czech Republic . The place is located one km southwest of Konstantinovy Lázně, in the valley of the brook Břetislavský potok .

history

Pramen lásky medicinal spring

The place is first mentioned in the tax register of the Pilsen district in 1379, as a property of the Lords of Guttenstein. The affiliations of the place changed several times. Břetislav was in the 18th century. incorporated into Okrouhlé Hradiště (Scheiben-Radisch) and became an independent municipality in the 19th century. When it was incorporated into Konstantinovy Lázně during the Third Reich , the place was still relatively large with 134 inhabitants.

When the Neuhof – Weseritz local railway went into operation in 1901, the town did not have its own train station, although it is located directly on the railway line. Setzlaw station was only opened in 1930.

As in the neighboring spa Konstantinovy Lázně, several healing springs also arise in the vicinity of Břetislav and flow into the stream. Of these springs, only the Pramen lásky medicinal spring ( love spring ) is reasonably maintained.
