BLN Motor Company was an assembly plant for motor vehicles and thus part of the automotive industry in Ireland .

Company history

The company was founded in Dublin in 1966 . It was created as a merger between Lincoln & Nolan and GA Brittain . The assembly of automobiles continued. In September 1969 there was another merger with the Smith Motor Group , creating Brittain Smith and Company .

Parts came from Austin Motor Company , Morris Motor Company, and Riley . Have survived secured Morris Minor and Riley 4/68 . The Mini was probably also installed.

The following are the registration numbers of Austin, Morris and Riley vehicles in Ireland for the years they were assembled by BLN Motor Company. The figures for the first year also include the assemblies at the two predecessor companies, while the figures for 1969 include the assemblies of the successor company, as splitting is not possible within one year.
