The BBÖ 2,070 / s was a narrow gauge - diesel locomotive of BBÖ or ÖBB.

It was built in 1927 by the Grazer Waggonfabrik . The locomotive remained a one-off. It was the narrow-gauge counterpart to the BBÖ 2020.01, was the first Austrian diesel locomotive that was in scheduled use, and was used for a long time on the Ybbstalbahn between Waidhofen and Kienberg-Gaming and Ybbsitz . Later it was operated for decades on the St. Pölten network ( Mariazellerbahn St. Pölten - Mariazell - casting and branch line Ober-Grafendorf - Wieselburg an der Erlauf - Gresten ).

The 2070 / s.01 showed the same motor problems in use as the 2020.01. One reason for its long service life was that the 2020.01 that was parked acted as a spare parts dispenser. In 1947/48, however, the motor and generator were replaced, which at least alleviated the problems.

From 1953 the ÖBB referred to it as 2093.01 . In 1961 the front doors were closed and a third headlight was installed. From 1963 she was mainly used in shunting . Since it was not built for this, the traction motors suffered greatly. In 1964 the heating steam boilers were exchanged for Webasto devices.

In 1991 it was taken out of service and in 1992 it was sold to the ÖGLB museum railway association.

It was initially fir green, in the 1960s it was painted a blood orange / ivory color. After all, it was only blood orange.

Today the locomotive has been refurbished as a museum by the ÖGLB and is back in fir green color on the Ybbstalbahnberg line.
