BC drop shot
The BC Drop Shot is a Dutch badminton club from The Hague . The club played in the Eredivisie , the highest league in the Netherlands , for over three decades .
history
The club was founded on October 1, 1947 as a winter alternative to the Lucky Stroke tennis club . Officially, the BC Drop Shot is the oldest badminton club in the Netherlands. Between 1957, Drop Shot was three times Dutch champion in 1962, among others with the participation of Ferry Sonneville , who studied in the Netherlands. Other well-known players were Joke van Beusekom , Monique Hoogland and Dicky Palyama in the following years .
