The Bendura Bank AG is an international financial services company based in Gamprin-Bendern in the Principality of Liechtenstein . The bank, which focuses on asset management and investment advice , transaction banking and securities issuance as well as the establishment and management of investment funds, is 84.68% owned by the Citychamp Watch & Jewelery Group . The remaining shares are held by employees of the bank and the Insam Family Foundation (15.32%). Andreas Insam is CEO and Kwok Lung Hon, Hong Kong , is Chairman of the Board of Directors. As of December 31, 2019, the bank had assets under management of CHF 3.67 billion. The bank is regulated by the Liechtenstein FMA and is a member of the Liechtenstein Bankers Association .

Bendura Bank AG was founded in 1998 as a subsidiary of Hypo Vorarlberg Bank AG with the name Hypo Investment Bank (Liechtenstein) AG.

In September 2008 the subsidiary , the Bendura Fund Management Alpha AG (formerly: Hypo Fondsleitung (Liechtenstein) AG) was founded. It focuses on advising, setting up and managing investment funds in the European market.

In September 2009 the Bendura Bank AG was offered for sale due to political debates - Liechtenstein was considered a tax haven at that time , the state of Vorarlberg was the sole shareholder. The Valartis Group, Zurich , was awarded the contract . The former Hypo Investment Bank (Liechtenstein) AG was renamed Valartis Bank (Liechtenstein) AG. In the course of this sale, an employee participation in the bank was initiated.

In the 2015 calendar year, the majority shareholder ran into financial difficulties. As part of the renovation, one of its most important assets, Valartis Bank (Liechtenstein) AG, was sold to Citychamp Watch & Jewelery Group, a Chinese luxury goods group. This transaction was important for the bank because it was able to settle an outstanding loan in favor of Valartis Finance AG. The current name Bendura Bank AG is derived from the location of the bank “ Bendern ” and the Celtic name “Dura” for tower.

In November 2016, Bendura Bank AG was the victim of a hacker attack .

The subsidiary Bendura Fund Management Beta AG was founded in October 2017 and focuses on the Asian market.

Bendura Bank AG has had a representative office in Hong Kong since autumn 2018 .

The bank has been the main sponsor of the annual Snow Polo World Cup in Kitzbühel, Austria, since 2003.
