The BEST-Sabel primary school is a private all-day primary school in the Berlin district of Mahlsdorf (location Mahlsdorf-Süd) in the Marzahn-Hellersdorf district .
history
The school was opened in 2000 as the first private school in the Marzahn-Hellersdorf district. Since August 17, 2002, it has been in the listed school building ( Erich-Baron-Weg 106–118), which was built between 1935 and 1937 according to a design by Paul Binder. Since 1968 the building ensemble has been supplemented by a modern extension.
The school was opened as the “10th Elementary school ", after which it was named" 10. Elementary School "(1945–1959)," 10. Oberschule "(1959–1978)," 10. Polytechnische Oberschule Helene Weigel ”(1978–1990),“ 32. Primary School ”(1990–1995) and“ Kiekemal Primary School ” (1995–2000). In primary school, English is taught from the first grade . In the third grade, another foreign language and computer science are added.
