The BKK salvina was a German statutory health insurance from the group of company health insurance funds , which emerged on May 1, 2009 from the company health insurance fund 11880 of Telegate AG , which was only set up on January 1, 2007 . It was open to members in the federal states of Mecklenburg-Western Pomerania, Brandenburg and the Free State of Bavaria. Over 80% of the 1,200 members of the salvina were women . The chairman of the board was Werner Wedig.
