The BKK Vital was a German company health insurance fund in the statutory health insurance . It was open to the federal states of Baden-Württemberg and Rhineland-Palatinate as well as the north-eastern part of North Rhine-Westphalia (Westphalia-Lippe) and had its origin u. a. at KHS GmbH .

Additional contribution

Since 2015, BKK Vital has been charging an income-related additional contribution from contributory income: 0.9 percent in 2015, an above-average 1.3 percent in 2016 and in 2017 the nationwide highest additional contribution of 1.8 percent. On January 1, 2018, it merged with the BKK Pfalz .
